This piece was made for a show called “The Whole Candy Store” produced by my friend Kyle Bannister.  It was fun to do a proportional color study and I love “products” for still life because I always see things in the logo work that I never noticed before.  Skis are interesting to me in the same way.  Kit Kat, Snickers, Butterfinger, Resses Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, Mars, Hershey Bar, Twix, Nestle Crunch, M&M’s, and Heath Bar are all some of my favorites from childhood.  I love this piece because it is formal yet fun.  A popular Seinfeld episode covered this phenomenon as well.
